Calvin Vincent Early Childhood Center’s annual Hispanic Heritage Parade brought classroom learning to life! Each class represented a different country or culture as students explored clothing, dance, food, sports and everyday life in communities around the world. 🌎

These photos highlight Puerto Rico, Peru, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Chile, Brazil, Spain and Colombia. What a colorful way for our youngest learners to celebrate traditions, build curiosity and learn about one another! ❀️

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. 🧑

Every student deserves to feel safe, respected and included. At Texas City ISD, we can all help by choosing kindness, including others and speaking up when someone needs support.

If you experience or witness bullying, reach out to a teacher, counselor or trusted adult. Asking for help is an important step, and you don’t have to handle it alone.

Together, we can build school communities where every student feels they belong.

October is Learning Disabilities Awareness Month, which is a time to build understanding and celebrate the strengths, talents and contributions of students with learning disabilities.

πŸŽ“ A big milestone for Early College High School in TCISD!

Now in its fourth year, our Early College High School program is reaching an exciting first: seniors from La Marque High School and Texas City High School are taking classes on the College of the Mainland campus during the school day this year.

Even more exciting, 37 seniors from our two high schools are on track to earn their associate degree while completing their high school diploma!

These students are experiencing college firsthand, earning valuable credits and getting a head start on their future, all before they walk across the stage at high school graduation.

We are proud of how far this program has come and even more proud of the students who are making the most of this incredible opportunity! πŸŽ“πŸ“š
